Donation to Flood Victims in Dickoya – Feb 2013

In February 2013, torrential rains and floods caused by it created havoc in most parts of Sri Lanka. Houses and businesses were destroyed. Many families were rendered homeless and several people lost their lives. Our SABA members sprang in to action and heeded the call for emergency relief.

Our members rallied around and collected funds for this extremely magnanimous cause and the Association was able to donate clothes and kitchen utensils for 200 of these displaced families. The total value of this project was estimated at Rs. 2.3 million.
